KBeckett OOAK Dolls

I'm KBeckett, age 45, menopausal and I make babies!!! 

 I've been creating miniature polymer clay dolls since June, 2009.  I have been a finish carpenter, cabinet laminator and installer since 1987 and have been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 2004. 

 I never had any hobbies and I had little interest in much of anything except--I simply love to bake!  As a matter of fact-it was my love of baking that lead me to this art. I was making a cake for a baby shower and decided to try my hand at decorating with fondant. So I  made my own fondant according to a recipe I found online to decorate the cake with babies. Well, I made several baby faces out of the frosting and my husband said, "Why don't you get some clay or something" , "There are baby faces all over the kitchen!" And that is just what I did!

I have absolutely no history  nor any training in art. So I believe these poly tots truly do come from the heart!

They are created from Polymer Clay, and are baked in my convection oven and come out sweet, sweet, sweet just like the goodies I used to bake. 

 I even make most of their clothes. I adore these little creations and I smile all the while as I form the clay and see these tiny faces emerge. So very sweet, they all are.

They range from a mere 1" to 9" small. Some are sleepers, some smilers, some are playful and some are serious and somber. I never know what doll I will create-I am always surprised!!!

My One of a Kind dolls have traveled the globe! Many of my creations have homes in Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Australia, Spain, the United Kingdom as well as from coast to coast in the great USA!

These lovely little ladies shown here are each about 6" small and full of detail.  They are absolutely delightful!
